Brehm Preparatory School is a boarding school that offers a holistic approach to education for students with special educational needs. The truth is that children with learning differences are, in many ways, just like any other kids. Having a learning disability is no indication of intelligence and, in fact, many of our students are of above average intelligence. We employ a number of different techniques, such as multisensory learning and the integration of technology into daily life, to help our students discover their most effective strategies and design a productive lifestyle. We accept students with a number of problems. Many of our students actually have a combination of learning disabilities and often also have emotional and behavioral stresses to contend with as well.

Our overall holistic strategy is highly adaptive. Unlike many other ADD or Aspergers school programs, we address several areas of concern outside the classroom. Each student treated as an individual and encouraged to participate in the process of designing and adopting a lifestyle geared to achievement. Because we have children with learning differences of all types, our boarding school offers many services that will address emotional, academic and time management skills. Our primary concern is not passing children from grade level to grade level but instead to equip our students with a lifestyle geared towards success in all of their endeavors.
At Brehm Preparatory School we are constantly evaluating new techniques to help us provide a quality education to our student body. For example, each student is issued a laptop loaded with cutting edge software such as Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking. This amazing programs turns the spoken word into on screen text. We also employ other opportunities for multisensory learning to help students learn how they best absorb information.
