The Brehm Preparatory School is a boarding school for children with learning disabilities located about 120 miles south east of St. Louis in Carbondale, Illinois. Unlike many boarding schools for child with learning disability, Brehm takes a holistic approach to managing their students' challenges. Our goal is to assist our students in learning how to adopt strategies for a successful life, not simply to make it through school. Basically, we try to design a successful lifestyle for each student. Our student body is not only involved in academics, but is given the opportunity to work on any social skill or emotional issues that they have. Unfortunately, many children and adults with learning disabilities also experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse and even eating disorders.
