Persons seeking admission to Brehm Preparatory School or the OPTIONS Program should submit the following information:
- A completed application and $75.00 application fee
- Current transcripts from high school and/or colleges (if applicable)
- Current IEP and/or 504 Plan (if applicable)
- Copies of earliest testing
- Copies of current testing or additional evaluations that include:
- WISC IV (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Forth Edition, all subtest scores)
- WAIS III (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Third Edition, all subtest
scores)
- The Woodcock-Johnson Psycho-Educational Battery III, Cognitive and Achievement, including Supplemental Battery (all summary scores)
- A complete language evaluation
Upon receipt of the above information, the Admissions Committee will review these forms and records. Should the Admissions Committee determine that Brehm could provide an appropriate program, the Director of Admissions will schedule a visit and student interview.
Interviews with administration and staff will be conducted at the time of the visit. The applicant will attend one or two classes with a student host and will eat lunch with students in the dining hall. Parents will also tour campus with a separate student host. OPTIONS has its own academic facilities and housing in the college community, separate touring arrangements for OPTIONS will be conducted by the OPTIONS staff.
The Admissions Committee will make a determination if the Brehm program is appropriate to meet the needs of the applicant. This will be based on a review of testing, records, and the student/parent interviews. If it is decided that Brehm could meet the educational and boarding needs of the applicant, an offer of admission will be made. Enrollment will be confirmed by the receipt of a
non-refundable deposit of $5,000.00, which will be credited to the current tuition, and by the issuance of a Contract for Services.
