Writing and English classes have completed a writing project that had them banished to an igloo in Alaska for the rest of their lives. Given that all their basic needs are met (food, water, heat source, and warm clothing), each student can choose 5 things to bring with them. Almost all students chose their phone and video games, but some were creative: fishing gear for ice fishing, rifles and knives for hunting and protection, and coloring books to have some color in their all-white world.
The end of our project was to create your igloo out of marshmallows. I’m happy to say that most of the marshmallow ice blocks actually made it to the igloos and were not all devoured by hungry builders.
