When I think about the impact of the Arrowsmith Program on our students, I am constantly reminded of how it transforms not only their academic abilities but also their self-confidence and outlook on life. Every student’s journey is unique, and their victories, no matter how small, are worth celebrating. For so many, Brehm becomes a second family, and we love to proudly share stories about our family’s triumphant moments. Here is one….
Jacqui K.: From Dreading to Embracing Typing
I recently received an email from Jacqui K., a former student who had a strong aversion to typing when she first joined the program. Like many students, Jacqui struggled with the tasks that required sustained focus and fine motor skills. However, through the Arrowsmith Program’s targeted cognitive exercises, she was able to overcome these challenges. Here’s what Jacqui had to say about her experience:
"I myself have been working and reading a lot these days. And I am obsessed with emails that you taught me to do when I was a student who used to ‘hate’ typing those all the time."
Jacqui’s story is a testament to how perseverance and the right support can turn obstacles into strengths. The skills she once dreaded have now become a vital part of her daily life, and that’s a transformation we’re incredibly proud of.
