Admissions Process

Brehm Preparatory School is currently accepting students in grades 6–12. Decisions are made on a rolling basis. We encourage you to start by exploring this website, our blog, and admissions materials to learn more about what makes the Brehm experience unique.

The admissions process begins with filling out our online Pre-Admission Questionnaire, which helps us get to know you and your family better and to ensure that Brehm is the right fit for your child.

Pre-Admission Process

  1. Complete our online Pre-Admission Questionnaire,
  2. Send us your child’s current (within three years) neuropsychological evaluation along with supporting documents such as an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan (if applicable) via email or fax.
  3. Let’s talk! After reviewing your completed Pre-Admission Questionnaire we’ll contact you to set up a call with a member of our Admissions team. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact us.

Application Process

  1. Our Admissions team will send a link to our online Application Form.
  2. Submit the application along with a $75 nonrefundable application fee.
  3. After receiving your application packet, our admissions office will contact you to schedule a campus visit and personal interview. Interviews must be completed prior to the admission decision.

Campus Visit

After your application is received, our Admissions office will contact you to schedule personal interviews and a campus tour.

During your visit, you’ll discover first-hand how Brehm’s unique approach empowers students with the fresh perspectives and skills to recognize their full potential. On our welcoming, 100-acre campus, you’ll visit our classrooms, tour our family-style dorms, and spend time with faculty, staff, and students eager to share their insights as you experience the Brehm difference in action.

While you’re in the area, be sure to schedule some time to enjoy local sights and sounds.

Brehm is located in Carbondale in scenic southern Illinois, just two hours southeast of St. Louis, Missouri.
